Horror Movies To Make Your Halloween A Little Creepier

Image
Today is Halloween.        Today is a scary day because ghosts, they say, are roaming the streets, entering the houses and are trying to see what’s up and what’s new with the living. Some will tap you on your shoulder, others will just sit quietly beside you and watch TV with you.        That's not scary enough ? You want this day to be a little scarier? Try watching (or rewatching) these great horror films that are really scary, horror films that will not only have you on the edge of your seat but will literally knock you off your chair:        1. The Conjuring (2013): Based on true events, two paranormal investigators (husband and wife), help a family that is being terrorized by a dark presence in their house.   Don’t watch this film alone and make sure the lights are on.        2. The Ring (2002) : A journalist investigates a mysterious videotape which seems to cause the death of anyone who watches it.   Most jump scare tactics don’t work

Black Ink Comics, Komikon And Your Facebook Memories

Image
Photo above reappeared today at my Facebook newsfeed. I posted it exactly four years ago. Time flies, indeed. The event was the 8 th Komikon held at Bayanihan Center, Unilab Compund in Pasig City, on October 27, 2012. People at the photo were, at that time, Black Ink Comics artists. Third guy from left is Filipino artist extraordinaire Randy Valiente and the pretty lady beside him is the editor of Black Ink Comics. I can’t remember the identity of the other two  guys with them. This was the time when Black Ink Comics still published traditional comic books, now, they’re focused on manga.               Here's Black Ink's Facebook page, you can find their works and artists here: Black Ink Comics.                This blog entry is brought to you by Facebook memories. Remember, Facebook cares about you and your memories.

The Star

Image
‘Twas a dark rainy night Everyone’s rarin’ to go home, cursin’ the blight But not you The gods had a precious gift for you There’s a star right in front of you, hiding from the terror sky The star that’d been refusing to shine its light on you for some time But it’s okay, you could bask in its shade, and prance And stare forever at its blinding, dazzling light from a distance ‘Twas a dark rainy night Everyone’s rarin’ to leave the place, cursin’ their plight But not you The gods, that night, smiled at you…
