The Post and Past of Your Love

Few days ago, I saw this photo (posted above) on my Facebook Newsfeed, a guy reassuring his beloved that he doesn’t care about her past. Nobly romantic, isn’t it? But why did he write it on a concrete post when there’s Facebook, or Messenger, or email, or texting? Why let the public feast on it? Is he an exhibitionist when it comes to his feelings or is he just mighty proud of his feelings that he wants every pedestrian and motorist passing that area to know it, regardless that it might cause an accident, like a ten-wheeler truck driver getting kilig with the post and losing control of his truck and running over ten crooked politicians? Dunno but my guess is that his beloved is really not that enthusiastic about him and his feelings for her. In short, she’s probably blocked her on all her social media accounts and it so happens that she either lives or always passes by in that area. Lol.

But Josh has shown what true love should be capable of, that it should not care about your inamorata’s past. I’d put my gossiping mood on and think that Dimple is probably a single mom with two kids from two different fathers, or a widow with six kids, or has been pregnant before but she aborted it because of a scumbag lover, or a former mistress of a now-jailed drug lord, or an ex-girlfriend of a sugar daddy. These misdeeds aren’t really criminal so a man truly in love like Josh can and must simply ignore these. Well, abortion is a crime in some countries, but a woman who got pregnant because she had been forced or deceived or lied to will be emotionally and mentally weak and will be susceptible to make grave mistakes. The important things is that she is now repentant of whatever her mistake was in the past.

The only time that someone should seriously consider backing out on their woman, or man for that matter, is when they confessed that they used to be a cannibal serial killer.

And I’m sure Hannibal Lecter will approve of it and advise you to look for another love.
