A Spectacular Display of True Love

Three years ago, he, a laborer,  was traversing a bridge (which was being rehabilitated)  with a forklift when he veered close to the edge, causing the fork lift to fall, subsequently crushing his right arm and his lower half body—which were then amputated. Yes, his arm and lower half body, from his waist down was cut off from his body so he only got his upper half body now.

Amazingly, his girlfriend didn’t leave him, and instead married him.

A magnificent display of the power of love, indeed.

But some people, instead of focusing on the girl’s profoundly deep feelings for the guy, wonder how they have sex.

“It’s a very disrespectful question,” the couple said. And rightly so.

Many people will not find it difficult to fall in love with a single parent with five kids or with someone who has gone through harrowing emotional experiences. And they will not find it difficult to fall in love with someone who only has one arm, or one leg, or one eye, or has only seven fingers, but falling in love with someone who literally has no dick and balls (no vag if a woman) and no arse and no legs and feet and only has one arm? Many people will draw the line here and zoom out of their incapacitated boyfriend or girlfriend’s life faster than the speed of light, although it’s a different case if you’re already married as you are morally obliged to stay.

Many people will be horrified to think of marrying someone who doesn’t have the lower half of their body as taking care of them will be a whole lotta work and will depress them and probably make them ill and suicidal, probably dying ahead of their other half (no pun intended).

Lots of people will every day swear to high heavens how much they love their significant other, posting Facebook statuses and quotes about true love and how they are ready to die for their beloved—but will quickly dump them the moment two ugly boils appear on their beloved’s nose. These people are just in love with wanting to appear as in love but their hearts are shallow and hollow.

So marrying someone like that is a stupendous sign of genuine love—and then, the first question that will pop up in some people’s mind upon seeing them is how do they make love?

     Totally irresponsible and disrespectful.

Anyway, he still has a tongue and five fingers.

     Completely irresponsible and disrespectful!

Seriously, the pair deserves everyone’s respect and admiration.
