Survey Says!
I’ve always wondered whether those survey firms really go around asking people of their opinions during election season. Or do they just manufacture the results in the comfort of their office? Well, the question whether they go around was answered for me just a few hours ago—a representative from a major survey firm (probably the leading survey firm in the country) knocked on our door and interviewed me. I was home alone, so she had no choice. She couldn’t interview the dog.
Some of the key questions during the interview were:
“Do you trust President Marcos, Jr?”
“Absolutely not.”
“Do you trust Vice President Sara?”
“Absolutely not.”
“Who are you going to vote and why?”
I rattled off (from her list) the candidates I was going to vote (from local to national) and my reasons for voting them, and as the interview was about to finish, out of the blue, she asked me if I was a teacher, and I said no, of course. She probably asked because some of the candidates I chose were radicals. Lol. She asked for my number so she could send me the results of the survey, and I politely refused and just told her I certainly would read about it on social media.
She then gave me a freebie and thanked me.
Now, I’m expecting the candidates (for senators) I chose to land in the top twelve of the results of that survey. Or they go around asking indeed, but only to manufacture the results in the comfort of their office? Lol.
