December promise you gave unto me

December whispers of treachery

December clouds are now covering me

December songs no longer I sing…

 

     Today is December 1, so Christmas Day is just twenty-four days away. Famous celebrities whom I am a fan of who were born on December include Larry Bird (7th), Manny Pacquiao (17th), Jake Gyllenhaal (19th) Samuel Jackson (21st) Eddie Vedder (23rd) and Denzel Washington (28th).

     Nostradamus was born on December 14.

     On December 19, 1843, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens was published. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. John Lennon was shot dead on December 8, 1980.

     I had an uncle born on December 8, a nephew born on December 10, my favorite former colleague was born on December 26. Coincidentally, on December 26, two of my siblings and a brother-in-law would travel to Europe and would stay there for a week to be with a niece of mine.

     On December 25, 336, the first celebration of Christmas occurred. If you’re one of those who joined the celebration that day, I have a feeling that you’re dead by now.

       Today is Holy Tuesday, three days away from Good Friday. For many, this is the week to be holy (pun intended). The week for an individual to repent or show how good a christian he is. While The Room Dances (And The Night Sways)

       Few days ago, I had another bout of severe dizziness. The last one occurred a few years ago, way before the pandemic. I woke up at around two in the morning with my room spinning and I was perspiring really cold sweats. I thought I was about to have a heart attack (that is what Google will tell you when you look for it) so I grabbed my phone when the vertigo subsided and deactivated my Facebook account. That has been my plan, to have my social media account die with me. So I lay there (strangely relaxed) in my bed while the room danced in the darkness and the night swayed and cold sweats broke out from every part of my body and waited for the attack.
