Souvenirs from Japan

 

     Two siblings of mine are currently in Japan vacationing. I wanted to come but who would take care of the house? And the dog? The house can be locked. But the dog? So, I stayed home. Travel is nice, but taking care of the dog is nicer. Anyway, maybe, our dog and I could travel together sometime very soon, probably to a country in Middle East. Lol.

     Anyway, they asked what souvenirs I wanted.

     I thought for a moment, and then said, “A laptop.”

     “Nope,” they rejected quickly.

     “A phone?”

     “Nope.”

     “A tablet?”

     “Nope.”

     “A ref magnet?”

     “Yes. Anything else?”

     “A watch?”

     “Nope.”

     “A keychain?”

     “Yes. Anything else?”

     “A geisha?”

     “Nope.”

     "Godzilla?"

      "Nope."

     “The dog?” I asked. “Any souvenirs for him?”

     “If only he knew how to use a phone, we’d buy him a smartphone,” they said.

     It was then that our dog barked at us.

     “I wonder what he’s saying,” the sibling asked.

     “He’s saying that he only wants some treats and that you can give me the smartphone instead,” I said.”

     “Nope.”
