Sweet Good Boy

This morning, a nephew and I bought our dog (a beagle named Kylo) to the vet for a follow-up checkup. But I had to leave early to buy a few things from a nearby store. As I was walking home, I heard a dog barking loudly and continuously behind me. I looked back and saw Kylo inside a moving pedicab, looking out into my direction and barking at me. He recognized me even though I was around eighty meters away and had my back on him and there were people walking around me—and he seemed very happy to see me. He was probably wondering why I disappeared from the vet's clinic.

I stopped and waited for them as he continued to bark loudly at my direction—only stopping when the pedicab reached me. He even made space while I climbed inside the pedicab, then, he snuggled with me. Such a sweet, good boy.

His last few trips to the vet were a bit costly (he's well and okay now), but those sweet little acts of his made it all worth it.

Yeah, I firmly believe when people say that all dogs (will) go to heaven.
