Donald Trump and the Knicks Versus the Spurs
So, I
resubscribed to Disney Plus just so I could watch the NBA Finals between New
York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs live. It turned out that, contrary to what Google had told me, a basic subscription will
not do it, and that you have to also subscribe at ESPN, which will
be too expensive, so I didn’t bother—and I ended up watching the game again on
Facebook. Lol. But you can watch all the replays on Disney Plus. Lol.
New York
Knicks won the first two games in Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, and game 3
will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York, their hometown, so the Knicks,
clearly, were the hot favorites to win again. The last time the Knicks won a
championship was 53 years ago. But then, just as the stars were shining
favorably on them, US President Donald Trump, a longtime fan of the team, decided to make a grand entrance into the series and watch game 3 inside the venue, and turn all their stars into black holes. Lol.
Incidentally,
Trump didn’t attend a son’s wedding held just two weeks ago because, according
to him, he was too busy.
The US
president was unsurprisingly booed heavily before the start of the game.
Afterwards, the New
York Knicks lost.
Jalen Brunson
and Karl-Anthony Towns tried but Trump was allegedly too much of a weight to
bear and too much of a jinx to stave off. Victor Wembanyama didn’t even have
to use his extra-terrestrial powers—he had 32 points and 8 rebounds.
My
prediction: Spurs in seven games. Or six, if Trump will continue to attend the
games.
I’m sorry,
Jordan Clarkson. Lol.
I’ve
already paid the one-month subscription, so I will probably finish The Office on Disney+ in one month and
then unsubscribe. Lol.
