       One of the most twisted narratives in HBO’s Games of Thrones is the incestuous relationship between siblings (they’re twins, actually) Jaime Lannister and Cersei Lannister. Of the two, it is Jaime who’s faithful and who’s more in love. Cersei, who is married to a king, clearly loves him but cheats on him.        Jaime often rues that you can’t choose whom you love and he is probably the best person (or fictional character) to complain about it. Gorgeous, princely, swashbuckling, a legendary swordsman and scion of the richest man in Seven Kingdoms, Jaime can have any woman he wants, but he’d rather be with his sister. She is the only woman he’s been with. They, in fact, already have three kids who are heirs (and heiress) to the throne.        Pink Floyd fans, or many of them, have another reason to rejoice.        David Gilmour, the band’s guitarist extraordinaire, has a new album coming out this September, entitled “Rattle That Lock,” and as a teaser, the title track has been unveiled, which will be the first single off the album.   According to David, the melody of “Rattle That Lock,” the single, was inspired by the jingle of a French railway station while the lyrics (co-written by David’s wife, Polly) was inspired by John Milton’s “Paradise Lost,” an epic poem that narrates the plot of Satan and his fellow fallen angels to annihilate the earth and all of mankind.        The song, which has an upbeat and celebratory tone and a soaring chorus (and fantastic guitar solos from David as usual), as expected, was met with diverse opinions, some like it, others despise it, claiming that it sounds nothing like the...

We were at the airport the other day, waiting for someone to arrive from Lion City when the lady beside me whipped her cell phone out, and as I, mindlessly, glanced at it, I thought I saw Jon Snow in her wallpaper. Okay, it might just be her boyfriend or another celebrity but too late, it already spurred me to think of another blog entry about Game of Thrones. "We don’t choose whom we love…”                                                 Jaime Lannister        Season 5 finale of Game of Thrones aired last night and true to its excellent but vicious form, deaths and tragedies abound in it. A major character, a gentle and principled one, thoroughly loved by the show’s fans, was brutally killed.
