MAKE BLOG, NOT WAR

“Why don’t we just fill the world with blogs instead of hatred, instead of fear,
of death, of misunderstanding and of things that cause global warming?
Let’s all make love and make blogs and make Paris Hilton
pay for her sins.”

—Gardo Versace, writer, poet, painter, author of the best-selling and compelling semi-biographical crime/suspense/drama/sci-fi book, “Britney Spears’ Nude, Ugly Pet Pussy Cat Is A Murderous Alien From Planet Venus!”

The quote above, a line from Versace’s critically-acclaimed book, “Paris Hilton Is The Main Cause Of Global Warming,” just won an award in the recently concluded “Look! Great Words Are Falling From Your Mouth!,” the Oscars of quotations.

I agree with him. It’s better to fill this world with blogs than hatred and death so I created this blog. As for making Paris Hilton pay for her sins, I’m a little clueless about it. But I heard watching some of her videos will urge men to commit sins.

I have long been toying with the idea of creating, not a blogsite, but a website.
Pink Floyd , if you’ve been living in another planet and just landed on earth for a quick vacation to hobnob with our tarsiers, is considered by many as the greatest rock band that walked this earth. Of course, the Beatles was the greatest pop band that roamed this planet. I was and still obsessed with Pink Floyd. It (the website) would have been my way of expressing gratitude to this band for creating absolutely wonderful music. It was as if these men were born, grew up, met and decided to form a band just to create music for me. Almost all their albums(excluding those made after mainman Roger Waters left the band) are utterly, definitely mindblowing.

The first twenty websites that I bookmarked when I got my PC connected to Internet a few years ago were all dedicated to Pink Floyd.

So my planned website was scrapped.

Then, last year, a friend, Arman Francisco, texted me, humihingi ng permiso dahil ilalagay daw niya ‘yong isa kong published comics story sa blogsite niya. I said yes then forgot about it. It is a blogsite about comics. If you love local komics, you’ll surely enjoy his site. Arman and I (we’ve been friends for a very long time; we first met during the Bataan Death March—he he) used to write for local comics. I wrote a few novels and series and lots of short stories, mostly horror then, when the local comics industry was still breathing. Pagkaraan kong bisitahin ang blogsite ni Arman, I started thinking about creating my own blogsite featuring my works as a komiks writer. Pero hindi ko pa rin naumpisahan agad. Sometimes, I really could be lazy. The horrors that happened during Japanese Occupation kept creeping up my mind. I would always be busy fending off those bad dreams.

But then, when you’ve got lots of free time and what you do, almost everyday, is sit in front of the computer all day and romance the keyboard, the temptation to create a blog is just too much.

And I am the kind of person who easily succumb to temptations.

I promise that this blog will only use recyclable and organic words, so as not to worsen global warming, even if I still have no idea on what would this blog’s contents be (aside from komiks stuff; I’ll scan some of my stories here).

Maybe, I’ll just go with what Kevin Costner was told in ‘Field of Dreams.’

Build it, he will come.

I have built a blogsite. Hopefully, words would come nice and smoothly.

Incidentally, my fave writer, Gardo Versace, the renowned English writer (he was born to Italian parents, though) is wrapping up his new book, a horror novel, probably to be released late this year. The book will be titled I Eat Children With McDonald’s Gravy. And this early, the critics are already all agog about this new terrifying book.

I have read Britney Spears’ Nude, Ugly Pet Pussy Cat Is A Murderous Alien From Planet Venus! and I gave it three thumbs up (two thumbs are not enough). It’s a classic, a great book. You can’t just put it down once you start reading it. It’s comparable to another classic book, Sheila Mendoza’s Between Love And Madness, another favorite book of mine.

Below is a picture of me and Arman Francisco taken before the Japanese invasion. :)

welcome to blog world my friend but saying we are a veteran of death March in Bataan is tantamount of making a war with me. I'm not that old naman. I was just born on the 4th of July.
Pare, welcome sa blog world!

The Best!

I hope all the visitors of this blogsite won’t take negatively all the positive point of views of this author.

Got my point?

Hehehe!

Nabasa ko rin ‘yung “Between Love And Madness”, pero hindi na yata nagsusulat si Shiela Mendoza. Asan na kaya siya?

PINK FLOYD?

Si Trixie, Pinay, isang 16 years old, raped and killed by the brother of her friend. Nang ilibing ito, nakipaglibing ako. Ang tugtog: STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN.

Si Bob Moeni, isang Arabic 17 years old, shot and killed gangland-style inside his home. Nakipaglibing rin ako. Ang tugtog: STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN.

Ang awitin: STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN.

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN?

Salamat sa pagdalaw, thecoolcanadian and randy.

"Donald, go to bed!. Bad boy!"

Ron,

Yes, Pink Floyd's a progressive rock band. And Dark Side of the Moon is two of their best albums, the other one is The Wall. Dark Side of the Moon is number six in the best selling albums of all time. Dark Side of the Moon is considered the best rock album of all time. A concept album, its lyrics deals with depression, insanity, growing old and death. He he.

Auggie, kumpleto ako ng cd ng Pink Floyd, some of them I bought from Tower Records, medyo nawala na nga lang 'yong ibang kopya ko.
