The Project
A spark of
a plot is being ignited inside my head and I’m thinking of writing a novel
again, probably a suspense-mystery-thriller, where the main character, who is
involved in an ongoing project, is suspecting that the project’s supervisor,
one who oversees the project, is sabotaging the project—by inserting and hiring
inefficient and unreliable workers and by refusing to hire efficient and
reliable workers and by eliminating any urgency on finishing the project and
meeting the deadline, thus delaying it. The workers don’t have any idea on how the project is
progressing, there is no communication whatsoever within the project that is being initiated by him; some of the workers had to step up to put some semblance of development.
And the
overseer’s motivation on the sabotage? I’m still working on it. Maybe he works
for a competitor of the boss. Maybe he has a grudge on some of the workers, like,
maybe one is having an affair with his wife or someone who would benefit immensely
from the project murdered someone he loved in the past—the plot would soon then
have a dark turn. Maybe, his motivation is noble, like a serial killer is on
the loose and would start killing the workers on the project once it is finished,
so the overseer is doing everything to delay it.
Anyway, I don’t
know if I’d have the motivation to really write it, I still have a couple of unfinished online novels and I’m still struggling to find the inspiration and the
motivation to continue them.
If only you
could buy a muse somewhere.
